Cheese and Piquillo Pepper Pate Recipe 

Fancy preparing a different appetizer for the weekend or for a special celebration? We bring you a recipe for Pate de queso y pimientos del piquillo that is very easy to prepare with the EASYChef TOUCH 9000 food processor. 

But this pâté is not only suitable for appetizers, it can also be used as a filling for sandwiches and fajitas, spread on crusty bread or as a garnish for various dishes.

When preparing our recipe, we must take into account the time available to marinate the onion, lime juice and salt, a minimum of 15 minutes

To present our pâté we can decorate it with a little paprika or freshly ground pepper and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on top.

To accompany our pâté, we can do it with breadsticks, pita bread, potato or corn chips, vegetable crudités (carrot, celery, cucumber, pepper, etc.).

 100 g Piquillo peppers
 50 g Spring onion
 30 ml Lime juice
 5 ml Perrins Sauce
 1 Sprig of parsley

Add 50 g of chopped spring onion.

We chop 20 seconds at speed 5.

We reserve the onion in a bowl, add 30 ml of lime juice and a pinch of salt. Stir well and marinate for 15 minutes.

Add 100 g of piquillos and a sprig of parsley in the glass of the food processor.

We grind for 20 seconds at speed 5.

Remove the cover and with the help of the spatula we push the remains that may have remained on the wall of the glass down.

Blend for 5 seconds at speed 5.

We replace the blade accessory with the whisk accessory.

Add the onion marinated with only half of the juice, 5 ml Perrins sauce, 200 g cheese spread and pepper to taste.
