The recipe for steamed chard with chickpeas that we are going to prepare today with the Küken Kitchen Robot is a traditional recipe, ideal for these winter days.

Legumes, vegetables, sweet paprika and olive oil, the perfect formula for a delicious, healthy, economical and very easy to cook dish.

To prepare this recipe, we started from the base of having the chickpeas already cooked previously. Pre-cooked canned chickpeas can be used, but we recommend cooking them at home.

Also with our Küken robot, we will do it very easily. To cook them, first soak the chickpeas with a little salt, at least 8 hours before preparing the recipe

After this time and without any accessories inside our robot, we incorporate 1 liter of water and the chickpeas
Cook 45 minutes at 120º and speed 1. Drain the chickpeas and they are ready to be used in our recipe

In this kind of recipes, you have to alternate between the different accessories, you have to be careful not to burn yourself or cut yourself when handling the accessories.

First of all, we wash the chard well and cut it into medium pieces. We reserve them.

Add 500 ml of water to the glass of our Küken robot.

We place the deep steamer tray on the robot and add the chard that we have washed and chopped. We put the lid.

We steam for 20 minutes at 120°C.

We remove the cooked chard and set it aside.

We remove the deep steamer tray, pour the broth from inside the glass into a bowl, rinse the glass and place the attachment of the solvent.

We add 50 ml of olive oil.

Heat the oil for 2 minutes at 120°C on speed 1.

Add 150 g of onion, peeled and in medium pieces, two garlic cloves also peeled and minced, and season as desired.

Bake for 15 minutes at 120°C and speed 1.

We replace the extraction accessory with the blade accessory.

Add 200 ml of chard cooking broth, 50 g of hand-chopped toast and a teaspoon of paprika.

We grind for 1 minute at speed 7.

We replace the blade accessory with the extraction accessory.

Add the chard and 400 g of cooked chickpeas.

Cook for 10 minutes at 120 ° C and speed 1.

We taste the stew and add salt if necessary. If we add salt, we repeat the previous step but changing time to 1 minute.
